Session Based Test – Closure Session

The Closure Session is the last of 6 types of session reports you can create when you use the Session Based Test approach. This report follows the Deep Coverage Session report. The goal of the closure sessions is to “get ready to release”. At this moment you have finalized the deep coverage sessions. All the blocking bugs you have found have fixes which solve the problems encountered. The deferred bugs are accepted by the customer support people. All identified risks are covered. You now can give the “ready to ship” statement.
The content of this report is an overview of all the session reports you have written for this project, sprint or user story. Hence, it could even be a release statement of a production bug you have tested.
Below a example of a Closure Session report I made for my work in a sprint.
Note that I keep track of the created session reports in a separate document. When I have all the reports completed and write the Closure Session report, I copy and paste the list with the session report information from that separate document into the Closure Session report.

Open Issue
– User Story MBR-2860 has not been tested and has been moved to Spring 8
– Issues for User Story MBR-2799
Issue 1 : Payment and Investment have the same general confirmation message
The confirmation message for a payment task and an investment task is a general message.
It does not fit anymore in the context of informing the customer what happened with the signing of these tasks.
The confirmation message used for ‘re-issue debit card’, ‘unblock debit card’ and ‘manage customer data’ contain more information and are helping the customer.
For Payment, a message could sound like:
    “Payment successfully sent”
For Payment Profile, a message could sound like:
    “Payment Profile successfully updated”
For Investment, a message could sound like:
    “Order successfully sent”
Issue 2 : Tasklist overview needs to be aligned between iOS, Android and Internet banking
For Android, the tasklist overview before signing shows a list with a line for ‘Payment’ and three lines which are all named ‘Other’
For iOs, the tasklist overview before signing shows a list with a line for ‘Payment’ and one line which is named ‘Other’. Every task list item which is not a payment, will be put in here
For Internet Banking, the tasklist overview before signing shows a list with a line for ‘Payment’, a line for ‘Investments’ and a line for ‘Requests’
This needs to be aligned. It would be nice to have an overview with four separate groups, like ‘Payment’, ‘Investments’, ‘Debit Cards’ and ‘Customer Data’
Note that these issues are regression issues. the User Story itself looks okay. For fixing the issues mentioned for this User Story, we need to assess this first. It will result in a new User Story.
Advice for Product Owner
Based on the tests we have executed we can give the recommendation that the user stories for Sprint 7 to move to the next stage.
